Octoboard data dashboard: Instagram application dashboard

Monitor all of your Instagram analytics metrics for individual posts and hashtags. Measure user engagement rates, identify most successful content or hashtags and use the insights to maintain high level of popularity and engagement.

This API is deprecated. A new Instagram interface is now available from Octoboard.

New integration works with Instagram for Business accounts only. It supercedes older Instgram API that is no longer supported by Facebook. Previous version of the Instagram integration is not available since June 29th, 2020. In order to use this integration, you will need to have an Instagram for Business account associated with a Facebook login.

IMPORTANT: When you are adding a second Instagram account, cookies may create a problem. To work around the issue, make sure you have logged out of your Instagram account before adding second connection to Octoboard.

Description
Hashtags widget shows performance of top 20 hashtags or up to 10 hashtags of your choice.
Tips
Hashtags and Hashtag Performance metrics are designed to identify most and least popular hashtags that you use. You can select hashtags that you want to monitor or keep monitoring automatic ranking. After a period of time you will learn what drives popularity and engagement. You can also use Latest Posts metric that ranks Instagram posts by Engagement Rate. Take a note of top posts and hashtags that are contributing to post popularity.

Description
Top Posts show posts ranked by Engagement. To sort posts by time (latest posts at the top), select Latest Posts metric. Engagement shows how much people interact with the content. Factors that influence engagement include users’ comments, shares, likes, and more. This is an important metric to keep an eye on because higher consumer engagement is a sign of great content. 20 posts will be displayed in this widget.

ENGAGEMENT RATE

Engagement Rate of your Instagram account over time.
Description
Engagement Rate is a metric that is used heavily in analyzing social media. Because the engagement rate is calculated relative to the number of followers a company has on social media (or number of views), the rate for both small and large companies can be compared equally.
Engagement Rate = (Comments + Likes) / Followers.

Is my Instagram activity increasing over time?
Number of POSTS is a good indication of your activity. Track it over time and compare it to your Instagram popularity and user engagement.

Description
This metric shows new posts created in the configured time period. You can change this view and display "cumulative" or "rolling total" number of posts create in the period by clicking on the "Cog" icon in the Top-Right corner of the widget and changing calculation method from "Difference" to "Rolling Totals".
