How to connect META work account to Octoboard
META is introducing a new type of account which is known as ‘’work accounts’’. This account is designed to separate personal and business access meaning that you will no longer need to log in from your personal Facebook account to access your data. The switch needs to be done by an admin of your Business Manager. The admin will send you an invitation to a work account.
If you choose to accept and create your work account, you will need to re-authorise your META connection in Octoboard. You will only need to reconnect your account once and it is very easy to do.
META business accounts affect the following Octoboad Integrations: Facebook, Facebook Ads, Instagram.
If you currently have no META integrations connected to your dashboards or reports, you can immediately connect your work account via the Connections panel on the left. Click ADD CONNECTION button as show on the image below and enter your new work account credentials.
If you already have dashboards created using a Facebook for Business login, you must reconnect with your new credentials.
There are 2 was to reconnect your existing Facebook login and start using META work account:
- Option 1: Click RECONNECT button in the Connections panel:
- Option 2: Click RECONNECT button at the top of your dashboard
- Option 3: Click RECONNECT button at the top of your report while in EDIT mode
